Sheet Coating Machines are adhesive roll coating machines that are used to apply a thin layer of glue to large labels, die cuts, sheets of foam, chipboard and similar materials.
A sheet coating machine has a large glue tank which serves as an adhesive reservoir. A tank roll dips into the glue and transfers it to the coating roll. The gap between the tank roll and coating roll is adjustable and precisely controls the amount of glue that is carried up onto the coating roll. The glue is applied to the bottom of the part, and the part is pressed against the coating roll by either a single or dual feed roll.
Sheet coating machines are available in several different feed roll arrangements for application of glue to parts from paper thickness to 5” thick, and are available in coating roll widths from 9” to 50”.
These coating machines can apply almost any type of water base glue – including latex adhesive. They can also be used for the application of U.V. cured adhesives and coatings.
Designed for quick cleanup, this machine has a stainless steel glue tank, and stainless steel coating roll and feed rolls. The glue tank slides out of the machine and is covered to keep the glue from drying. A wash tank is then inserted into the machine and the rolls cleaned by running the machine with water. Cleanup can be done in about 5 minutes.
The ease of glue coating adjustment, part thickness adjustment, and quick cleanup make the sheet coating machine ideal for a wide variety of industrial adhesive coating applications.
